Hildebrand Farms Dairy premium Creamline Milk is whole milk that has been pasteurized, but not homogenized. It is the closest milk we have to raw milk.
By not homogenizing the milk the cream separates and rises to the top. Shake it well or take a spoon to push down the cream plug on top to mix it throughout the milk. Research proves that creamline milk is easier to digest and the fat particles are not as easily absorbed into the digestive system. Many of our customers with lactose intolerance have had great luck with our creamline milk.
Hildebrand Farms Dairy Creamline Milk is sold in 1/2 gallon glass bottles for $3.99.
A Bottle Deposit of $2.75 is included in the price.
If you return a bottle at pick-up, the $2.75 deposit is credited to your order total.
The Creamline Milk from Hildebrand Farms Dairy is non-homogenized whole milk, which means the butterfat molecules are left in their natural state. Thus, the cream will rise to the top of the bottle just like the raw milk that many remember from days gone by.
The cream is composed of relatively large milk-fat globules which bind with nutrients (like vitamins A & D) found in the liquid portion of the milk. The nutrient-carrying globules travel to the stomach and gut where they release the nutrients for use by the body. Milk fat, in its natural state, easily makes its way through the entire human digestive tract allowing the body to absorb the nutrients.
Homogenized milk molecules on the other hand, are much smaller and can pass out of the digestive tract and directly into the bloodstream before the nutrients can be digested in their entirety.
Many people who have suffered from digestive issues from dairy find that our non-homogenzied milk is easier on their stomach and can provide very little to no discomfort compared to homogenzied milk. This is not the case for everyone who suffers from lactose intolerance, but a good portion.
Milk is homogenzied by forcing milk through a small screen at high pressure. The only purpose of homogenizing is to blend the cream and the milk. The Baumans suggest that you do this in a more natural way by shaking the bottle!
Creamline Milk, like all Hildebrand milk, is still pasteurized, the process of treating milk with heat to reduce the disease-causing pathogens and extend shelf life.
